1. No God-moding! Or Power-playing! [IE: controlling other peoples’ characters, killing off another RPer's character without their permission…]
2. No Mary Sues or Gary Sues. [In other words, your character cannot be absolutely perfect in every way! Everybody has flaws and this site is based on realistic situations.]
3. Sex is allowed, but make sure that the title to the board says something like 'Explicit Content' so that it will warn other students. And please, don't let your character have sex with EVERY other character they meet. It’s unrealistic.
It should be in appropriate places, therefore, sex is only allowed in private places such as the dorms or Sunset Valley.
4. After you join, you may register for the classes you would like to take. [Just a fun little add-on. NOT mandatory.]
5. No one-liners, just try to describe what is going on around you. This makes the site more enjoyable for others. Minimum lines per post will be 5-6. NO LESS. [The first time you will be warned, the second the post will be deleted, third you will be deleted and not be allowed to reapply!]
6. Swearing is allowed, but try to refrain from using inappropriate words too much.
7. No inappropriate pictures on your profiles please! No sexual images. Try to make sure your pictures are NOT too big if you post it in your signature. It stretches out the page longer than it should be. [You will be warned if it is inappropriate.]
8. When taking long vacations from the site be sure to post it on the vacation board. If not, you may be deleted due to inactivity.
9. Do not, we repeat do not use font colours that don't show up against the background well. It hurts people's eyes and makes it harder to read what you wrote. Examples: Pink, Beige, White, and Yellow.
10. Please try to be as descriptive in your posts as possible. Please do not have one or two line posts. It is quite easy to be descriptive. Just describe the weather, or the scenery, or what people in the background are doing. Even state what your character is thinking. But the best thing to do is describe your character's movement.
IE:
'Bob walked down the street and went into his house.'
That is bad!
Now here is the correct way: I.E:
'Bob walked down the street, glancing around him, catching sight of kids playing baseball in the street on this fine
sunny day. He stopped at his house and followed the path to his front door. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a chain with a set of keys on it. He flipped through the keys to find the correct one before putting it in the lock, twisting and pushing the door open. He pulled his keys out of the lock and pushed the door closed behind him as he shoved them back into his pocket.'
But please don’t use the name Bob..
11. Do not use slang or ‘internet speech’ in your posts. IE: U, r, OMG, LOL, etc.…
12. Indicate when you are OOC. IE: (( )), OoC, [ ], etc…
All this makes role-playing more fun and helps you build a mental image.
Only two warnings will be given if you break one of these rules.
