It is common that when one is alone they often do not want to look helpless. It is also common that it is hard to hide sadness. That is why they invented 'sulking'. Everyone knows that you don't want to be alone, but they ignore this fact because you seem scary. And this is why Rayya often stood, arms crossed, against the wall with cold stare, as she was now. A soda can was in her hand. She brought it to her lips, sipping the last bit of it.
She boredly shook it, as thought testing to make sure it was entirely empty. She watched the students as they shuffled through the hall, deep brown eyes giving away her emotion oh too obviously. She picked up the soda can and crumpled it with her arms. An easy feat, yet one that seemed to be a bit intimidating at first. She had no friends, she was always alone, but desperately trying not to seem desperate, she pretended she didn't care. In any case, she thought, she usually lost the friends she got. They would move, change schools, or more commonly have an argument. And Rayya, though she won't admit this to you, tends to hold a grudge. |

So there he was, none other than Brandon Triem, bouncing a ball down to the vending machines to get something to drink when his cell rang. "Bout time..." He muttered, as he let the ball fall to the ground and placed a foot on it. Fliping open his phone he said, 'Gaw, Emily! How long does it take to call your brother?!" He said in an angered voice. She'd be in school too, except she got skiped ahead of Bradon, which pissed both of them off. He was listening now, moving to lean against a wall. "What do you mean you aren't going to do my homework anymore?! I don't understand any of it, and your know you're the ones with the smarts out of us two! Even if we are twins, I'm the one who can do sports and you're the one who can understand this stupid bull shit!"
You could say he was a little upset. When they were in the same grade, Emily would always help him with his homework in study hall, but now that had gone down the shitter since she was already out of school and had been for two years. Brandon sighed, "Okay, I'll start doing it on my own, but I'll need help." Listening again he nodded his head, "See ya at home." He then hung up his phone and sighed laying his head back against the wall and closing his eyes. |
