Default Up on The Monkey Bars

School had just let out and children were running and laughing around the small playground in the park. It was the perfect time to capture emotions and freedom that the kids had. Something that many people Chloe's age didn't have anymore. The freedom just to be care-free with no stress in their lives whatsoever. Instead, people like Chloe led lives that revolved around downing cups of coffee and staying up at late hours to finish work only to get up the next morning and repeat the same process. Life was tedious. So sometimes, you just have to let go and be a kid for just awhile.

Not like Chloe was doing that at the moment. Once again, she was caught up in her work. Well, not really work... Hobby is more like it. Balancing on a bar on the monkey bars, Chloe carefully took her camera that was hanging from her neck and began to take snap shots of the park. Her actions seemed to be drawing attention from adults watching their children. Some showed looks of concern, and others were curious in what she was doing. Okay, so she was taking pictures of little kids... But she wasn't Michael Jackson. This was just a 23 year old practicing her photography skills... She just liked capturing real life moments. So ignoring the strange looks from people, she continued to take pictures. After a while of taking random pictures, she turned her camera to focus on a few toddlers building castles in the sand box. She smiled, and began to sharpen the camera's focus on them. Every now and then she had to wait for the random person to walk by but in a matter of a few minutes, she had a total of 8 shots of the toddlers.

She put her camera down, letting it hang from her neck as she enjoyed the commotion around her. The soft breeze made her hair blow back and forth, but it didn't really matter since a baseball hat was holding down her hair. Out of reflex, she swung her legs back and forth. Dressed in a black and white striped cami, khaki bermuda shorts and black ballet flats; Chloe looked like all the other kids in the playground. With the swinging of her feet, she looked like a kid in isolation from all the others. If it weren't for her camera, she could have probably been mistaken for one of the kids from afar.

After awhile, Chloe turned her focus to the children on the see-saws, and was about to take a picture when her camera ran out of film. Damn it... She sighed and reached into her messenger bag hanging from her shoulder. She fingered around her bag until she found a roll of film and took it out. Carefully, she took the roll of film out of the case and opened her camera. She pulled out the finished roll and was about to put it in the empty case when the film slipped out of her hand and fell towards the sand below. During that time, she tried to catch the falling roll but instead, caused herself to fall from the bar she was sitting on. She slipped off the bar, but had hurriedly grabbed onto another. The other roll of film and case fell into the sand and her camera hung open, around her neck. In the end, she was hanging off the other bar like a monkey. Hence the name, the Monkey Bars.
